Treebate is a WA Government initiative that provides eligible Western Australians with a rebate of up to $150 when they purchase and plant an eligible native tree on their private property.

The program aims to increase urban canopy cover and support greener, cooler and more liveable communities across Western Australia.

  • Eligible Western Australians aged 18 years and over may claim a rebate of up to $150.
  • Residents should retain their tax invoice and a photo of the plant label when lodging a claim.
  • Claims are made through the ServiceWA app.
  • Eligible trees must be Australian native species capable of reaching at least three metres in height at maturity.
  • Treebate opened in July 2025 and will run for four years.
