Telecommunications in the Shire of West Arthur
There are six Telstra, one shared, and two Optus mobile towers located within the Shire of West Arthur; however, some towers outside of the Shire boundary also provide coverage.
The towers are located at:
- Rhodesdale Rd, Darkan (Telstra)
- Off Moodiarrup Rd West, Moodiarrup (Optus)
- Capercup Rd South, Moodiarrup (Telstra)
- Darkan Rd South, Darkan (Telstra)
- Moodiarrup Rd, Darkan (Optus)
- Burrowes St, Darkan (Telstra)
- Boyup Brook - Arthur Rd, Bokal (Optus and Telstra)
- Trigwell Bridge Rd, Trigwell (Telstra)
Currently, all mobile sites across the Shire operate with 4G frequency.
Generator deployment during power interruptions is managed by Telstra Power Interruptions. Typically, pre-deployment of generators to sites through contractors is only carried out if the battery reserve is not sufficient for the anticipated outage duration and the site is classified either as Critical (a site of significance) or Community Isolating.
