The Shire of West Arthur is reviewing its Community Strategic Plan, West Arthur: Towards 2031.

The Community Strategic Plan is our community’s long-term guiding document. It sets out our shared vision for the future, the outcomes our community wants to achieve and the priorities that guide Council’s decision-making, resource allocation and community improvement.

This survey is an opportunity to tell us whether the existing Vision, Themes and Outcomes still reflect what is important to the West Arthur community and what, if anything, should change.

  • Are the existing Themes still the right ones?
  • Do the Theme descriptions accurately reflect what we want for our community?
  • Are the existing Outcomes still relevant?
  • Should any Themes or Outcomes be amended or removed?
  • Are there new Themes or Outcomes that should be added?
  • What should be our highest priorities for the future?

There are no right or wrong answers. Please tick one response where requested. You may provide as much or as little additional comment as you wish.

We want to hear from as many community members as possible to ensure we get a fair representation of views. Council encourages all residents to have a say as the strategic plan will form part of council’s financial budget and project priorities so that it is important to know what our community wants.

Note that we will review the responses to this survey and then come back to the community to discuss specific projects, tasks and activities that sit under the selected Themes and Outcomes.

You can complete the survey online, or call into the Shire office and collect a paper copy.

Survey closes 7 December 2026.
