From Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, the standpipes in Darkan will be operated by a swipe card.
This means you will need to collect a swipecard before using the standpipes in Growden Place or Horwood St.
At the Ordinary Council meeting held on Thursday, 26 February 2026, Council adopted updated Fees and Charges to reflect the card costs and water costs for all users of the standpipes.
Please note that the Horwood St standpipe will only accept cards issued to the bushfire brigades and Shire.
