The West Arthur Community Resource Centre has received an Age-Friendly Communities Social Connectivity Grant from the Department of Communities aimed at improving the connectivity and social interaction of seniors in the Shire of West Arthur. This grant will be used in year-long series of events and activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of our seniors and develop skills and capacity to remain connected should a period of social isolation occur in the future.

The West Arthur project is designed around the eight domains of the World Health Organisation Age Friendly City plan and include aspects of all of the following:

  • Housing
  • Social participation
  • Respect and social inclusion

The activities will be monthly during 2021 and for further information about upcoming events in the project please contact the West Arthur Community Resource Centre on 9736 2000 or email karen.prowse@westarthurcrc.com.au.
