Shire Road Conditions  12pm Monday 2 August 2021

The latest weather event over the weekend caused some minor issues to the Shire of West Arthur Road Network, the Works crew have been busily making drainage repairs, erecting signs cleaning debris and removing trees on our roads. Please consider your travel options with respect to this alert.

 Please be aware of the following road conditions:

  • Bokal East Arthur Rd, Morrell Bridge - CAUTION water over road, minor washouts
  • Gibbs Rd Sth of Trigwell Bridge Rd CLOSED due to pavement failure.
  • Capercup Rd North– OPENCAUTION – minor washouts
  • Noble Rd – CLOSED - water over road
  • Shield Rd –  CLOSED - Culvert failure
  • Eulin Crossing Road – CLOSED - High water level on floodway
  • Moodiarrup South Road – CLOSED - High water level on floodway
  • Quill Rd – CAUTION - water over road at the Arthur River Bridge
  • Clarke Rd – CAUTION - water over road
  • King Rd – CAUTION water over road, minor washouts
  • Bunce King Rd – CAUTION - some wet areas
  • Arthur River Boyup Brook Rd – CAUTION - Water over road near Arthur River Bridge


Please note all Shire Gravel Roads are closed to Vehicles over 4.5 tonnes, (under section s3.5 of the Local Government Act & Road Traffic Act 1974 s84).

Vehicles over 4.5 Tonnes have been reported using these gravel roads, causing damage and risking the safety of other road users. Unauthorised use will result in fines and penalties.

 Please take caution, be aware of road hazards, slow down and drive to the conditions of the road, if you’re unsure of the conditions seek an alternative route.

If you notice any damage to Shire roads or infrastructure, please, in the first instance call the shire office and raise a Customer Service Request (CSR).

Please note Albany Highway and Coalfields Road are under the care and control of Main Roads Western Australia, If there are any issues with these roads please contact MRWA, on their Incident Response Line 13 81 38.
