There are public playgrounds located at Darkan and Duranillin. At Darkan there are also two in-ground trampolines.

Skate Park

The skate park was opened in December 2000, and has skate ramps, a bike track, half court basketball, beach volleyball court, enclosed shed with verandah, drinking fountain and grassed areas. There is also a gazebo nearby with an electric barbecue.

The Skate Park is available for functions such as birthday parties. An application form is required to be filled in before approval is given. This is to meet Council's insurance requirements. For further information please contact the Shire of West Arthur.

Child Health

A Child Health Nurse from Narrogin is in the West Arthur Shire on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, at the Health and Resource Centre in Darkan.

Youth Advisory Committee

A forum for young people to advise local government directly about issues facing young people and ways to address these issues. Also able to source funding for development of facilities/events such as the skate park, concerts, education/employment activities.
