Rubbish Collection and Recycling
Council rubbish collection services are contracted to Mr Ted Pugh. The rubbish is collected and taken to Darkan Rubbish Tip.
Kerbside Rubbish collection
Darkan, Duranillin and Arthur River Townsites: every Thursday morning.
Bulk rubbish can be collected from individual houses by arrangement with the Shire.
Recycling
Rubbish for recycling is collected the first Thursday of every month.

| Duranillin: | Recycling bins located behind Dura General Store. |
Things to recycle
- Paper - bundled or in cardboard box
- Plastic containers - rinsed out and lids removed
- Glass jars and bottles - rinsed out and lids removed
- Aluminium cans
- Cardboard boxes
